narrative poem

•       I am here to talk to you about this rhyme
•       This talks about things that happen time to time
•       First I was a smart kid, flooding, with my shirt tucked in, pretty
much like a nerd
•       Now I am in the basketball team and pretty often heard
•       This girl I am going to talk about is the best of them all
•       For me it’s better than bouncing or kicking a ball
•       Her beautiful eyes and her beautiful hair
•       If you didn’t notice, I would always stare

•       There was a week we just hanged out
•       I’d will just poke you and you would shout
•       That one night I felt that I loved you
•       I remember texting and didn’t know what to say.. I had no clue
•       I texted saying you saying that I had felt something close to you
•       I send it, waiting impatiently, with nothing to do
•       You said “I don’t know, I will think about it
•       I was really nervous I couldn’t sit

•       All these people helped me I am not going to take the credit all by myself
•       I went to the library and grabbed a book on “how to treat girls
nice”, on the bottom shelf
•       Greg, Vanessa, Dorian, Noel, and Felix helped me
•       Vanessa came to my class during 4th period screaming she had said SI
(Spanish word for yes)

•       I thought that, that day was the best day of my life
•       Thinking that you would one day be my wife
•       I would impress you like bears trying to get honey from a bee hive
for his partner
•       Everybody was like “ wow Josh you go out with her”

•       I tried to do my best to keep this relationship alive
•       But whatever relationship lives, sooner or later has to die
•       She said it was over, and she didn’t like me no more
•       In that very moment all my dreams and goals just tore

•       Have you heard any guy tell you that only girls cry, well I was a
girl for a lot of days
•       For 2 weeks I didn’t have nothing to say
•       If nobody told you, I wrote a lot of poems about you, all by myself
•       Still have the poetry book I wrote, right on the top shelf
•       Couldn’t play basketball for as much as I wanted to
•       When I played all I would always think of you
•       I felt that something had stabbed me through my heart
•       First we were going out and with a blink of an eye, we are apart

•       Well that’s how I got an NP on Mrs. Mejia’s class
•       I can’t believe I said that, I just put myself on blast
•       Well  I really missed her and her smell of cinnamon
•       But guess what I wrote this poem so I can try to move on
